“People are everything.”
Our Dad: Bob MacDonnell
Round Pond Founder, Bob MacDonnell, was an old fashioned kind of guy. He believed in hard work, kindness, and taking care of your people. He believed in giving back by investing in future generations. Dad, our hero and mentor, always put people first and would be the first to give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it.
Round Pond has raised $248,229 for the Fight Against Alzheimer’s since 2021
Our 2024 goal: $110,000
Each June
Each June, we are proud to donate 10% of the proceeds from Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc sales to the Alzheimer’s Association®. The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association is to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
We invite you to help us support this worthy cause by purchasing our wines – either directly from us or from a restaurant or wine shop near you – throughout the month of June.
Honouren: A tribute to the fight
Honouren Cabernet Sauvignon is a commemorative wine showcasing photos submitted by our community of those living with, or lost to, Alzheimer’s. 50% of the proceeds of each bottle sold are donated to causes dedicated to ending Alzheimer’s.
Honouren is our way to bring together community and raise vital funds for the fight to end Alzheimer’s. We are currently accepting photo submissions of a loved one for inclusion on the vintage 2023 label.
Inspire Napa Valley
We are proud to be a Silver Benefactor of Inspire Napa Valley! Inspire brings together wine enthusiasts and the most exceptional Napa Valley wineries for an annual Spring Wine Weekend to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Since its inception in 2017, Inspire has raised over $4.5 million to support the cause! This year we are hosting the VIP Alzheimer’s Research Update & Wine Seminar on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Community Support
Each fall we join our local Napa neighbors and participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This event allows us to make an impact in our local community while continuing to show up and support all of the families around us who are dealing with this devastating disease. This three mile walk raises awareness in our community while also raising funds for research, this year alone the walk raised over $134,000 for this important cause.
May 1, 2023 – December 31, 2024, Round Pond will contribute $16.97 per bottle of the Round Pond Estate Honouren Cabernet Sauvignon wine sold to the Alzheimer’s Association and the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation each for a total donation per bottle of $33.90 with a minimum donation of $25,000.
